Suspect Indicted in October 2016 Shooting Death of Franklin Teen

On May 10, 2019, in Franklin, Lunden Toussaint, age 19, was indicted by the grand jury on the charge of principal to second degree murder, in the death of Braylen Foulcard. In December 2018 investigators with the Franklin Police Department received additional information pertaining to the Foulcard homicide. The investigators were able to present the findings to the grand jury of the 16th Judicial District Court, Parish of St. Mary.

On October 23, 2016, at approximately 3:50 PM, the Franklin Police Department received a complaint of shots fired in the area of Augustine Maze Rd. Upon officer’s arrival, officers discovered one deceased victim on the scene. The victim has been identified as 16 year old Braylen Foulcard. Foulcard was a junior at West St. Mary High School and resided in the Jeanerette/Four Corners area.
