Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue announced that the Thibodaux Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
On Sunday, December 8th, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Thibodaux Police Department received a phone call of a drive-by shooting that took place in the 1300 block of Ledet Street.
When Police arrived, they discovered that a victim had been shot in the upper arm. The victim who sustained a non-life threating injury was later transported to an out of town hospital for treatment.
Thibodaux Police Detectives were called to the scene to process for evidentiary purposes. This investigation is ongoing and the Thibodaux Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has been working diligently, following every lead necessary to apprehend any and all responsible parties involved. Chief Zeringue asks the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding this incident. At this time, police are looking for a gray sedan style car occupied by a black male driver, which was last seen traveling northbound on Ledet Street.
The victim’s identity will not be released at this time, in attempt to protect the integrity of the investigation. As more information becomes available we will update the public accordingly.
