BELLE ROSE – On Saturday evening, Belle Rose Middle School was the setting for a public forum addressing the ever-growing problem we all heard of and that problem is called, “Bullying”.
Sadly, bullying has led to extreme personal sadness for many children. Bullying has often led to children taking their own lives as a final resort.
On Saturday, the First Annual Halfway Honors Ball was held honoring the victims of bullying and a sobering event it was.
Part of the forum included tragic personal stories of some who were victims of callous and mean individuals.
Sheriff Leland Falcon’s Office was well represented and employees handed out an abundance of anti-bullying materials.
Sheriff Falcon thanks all who participated in this worthy event.
Sheriff Falcon’s message is “Let’s choose kindness and shred hate”.
