New Franklin Chief of Police to be sworn-in on Sunday, KQKI to provide live coverage of ceremony on KQKI Facebook page

Morris Beverly will bring over 30 years of law enforcement experience when he becomes Franklin’s Chief of Police on Sunday. He will be sworn-in on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Lamppost Event Center on Main Street in Downtown Franklin.

Beverly is a retired Louisiana State Trooper with extensive law enforcement experience including training in leadership and supervision.

The new chief will succeed Interim Chief Tina Thibodeaux who was appointed by Mayor Eugene Foulcard following the resignation of longtime chief Sabria McGuire in June.

KQKI will provide live video coverage of the ceremony on the KQKI Facebook page beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
