BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tina Dore Stelly, 49, of 2316 Tupelo Street, Morgan City, LA, on Tuesday evening following a traffic stop in Bayou L’Ourse.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle in the Aristle Road and Vivian Street area, commit a traffic violation. The deputy stopped the vehicle and initiated an interview of the driver, then the passenger, who was identified as Tina Dore Stelly. Both were evasive when questioned.
The deputy noted at one point that Stelly was in possession of a cigarette pack but then noticed she no longer possessed it. The deputy located the cigarette pack at Stelly’s feet and inside was a quantity of meth-amphetamine.
Tina Dore Stelly, already a convicted felon, was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*A Parole Violation Hold was Filed
Tina Dore Stelly remains incarcerated. Stelly’s bond has been set at $25,000.
The arrest was a combined effort of the Sheriff’s I.C.E. and Narcotics Divisions.
