Morgan City Police arrest juveniles for vehicle burglary

Officers with the Morgan City Police Department were called to the area of Hilda St after someone witnessed an attempted burglary. Officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area, but continued to patrol in an attempted to locate them. An officer looking in the the Marquis Manor area saw two subjects who immediately fled when they were seen by the officer. One of the juveniles was located shortly after officers saw him jump a drainage ditch and run between a residence. Officers were able to find that juvenile and placed him under arrest. Officers continued to search for the other subject who was later located in the rear yard of a residence and placed under arrest.

During the search of the area officers were able to locate several stolen items including a stolen handgun from Berwick.

Both Juveniles were placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department

They were charge with the following charges:

Simple Burglary

Resisting an officer

Possession of stolen things

Criminal trespassing
