On Saturday, February 2nd, 2019, shortly before 5:00 p.m., Thibodaux Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of E. Park Drive, in reference to a medical emergency of a 7 month old child not breathing.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that the infant was breathing, but it was extremely labored and irregular. The infant’s upper portion of its face was also bruised and swollen. The infant was immediately taken to a local hospital by Acadian Ambulance Services, while an investigation ensued.

Due to the injury sustained to the infant, the child was air lifted to Children’s Hospital, where the infant is currently in stable condition.
Mr. Verdin was subsequently arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, where he remains on a $300,000.00 Bond.
