Franklin Woman Charged With Aggravated Assault After Causing Injury To Two Chitimacha Deputies

As per Chief Hal Hutchinson:
On 9/19/18, during the course of a narcotics investigation, when an officer attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, the suspect vehicle fled from the officer. While fleeing from the officer, the suspect vehicle rammed into the back of another Chitimacha Police Department unit and continued to flee. Upon the vehicle coming to a stop, the driver was arrested on site while the passenger fled on foot. The collision with the Chitimacha Police Unit resulted in two (2) officers receiving injuries.
Vicky Sanchez, 33, Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested for Aggravated Flight from a Police Officer with Serious Bodily Harm, 3 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle upon a Police Officer, Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II (Methamphetamine), Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II (Cocaine), and seven (7) counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center without incident.
