Donaldsonville Man Arrested on Drug, Gun, and Traffic Violations

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of John Joseph Grisaffe, 54, of 105 Anna Street, Donaldsonville, LA, on drug, gun, and traffic violations following a stop by deputies in Pierre Part, LA, on Tuesday.
Deputies responded to a complaint of a reckless driver on LA 70. The violator vehicle was located and deputies executed a traffic stop. The driver of the suspect vehicle was John J. Grisaffe.

Deputies noted violator conditions consistent with that of an intoxicated driver. A pat down search of the suspect was conducted and that search produced a quantity of suspected marijuana on the suspect’s person.

As the interview process and subsequent search continued, a quantity of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a handgun were recovered.

John J. Grisaffe was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:
*D.W.I.
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of Cocaine
*Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Grisaffe was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
