Paincourtville Man Arrested on Fugitive Warrants From 2016

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charles Fair, 33, of 6034 Grant Road, Paincourtville, LA, in connection with fugitive warrants dating back to 2016 relating to an ongoing domestic situation.

On October 25, 2016, deputies were called to a Paincourtville residence in connection with a domestic situation. Deputies were able to determine that during the incident, Charles Fair did discharge a firearm.

He left the area prior to police arriving.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the area again on February 10, 2017, again in connection with a domestic matter.

As a result of those incidents, felony warrants were obtained for Fair’s arrest and he was taken into custody early Tuesday at his home.

Fair was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on counts of:
*Domestic Abuse / Aggravated Assault with Child Endangerment
*Domestic Abuse / Aggravated Assault
*Home Invasion
*Illegal Use of Weapon Dangerous Instrumentalities
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Failure to Appear

Fair was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
