Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on Saturday morning, June 9, 2018, during the early morning hours, Terrebonne Parish deputies and detectives arrested multiple suspects for several business burglaries that occurred on West Tunnel Blvd. and Martin Luther King Blvd. Houma, La.
TPSO deputies were on patrol when they responded to burglaries at the following businesses:
In & Out Phone Repair, 1301 West Tunnel Blvd.,
Cricket Wireless 1299 West Tunnel Blvd.,
Valero Convenience Store, 1375 West Tunnel Blvd.
Metro PCS, 1417 West Tunnel Blvd.
The suspects destroyed the glass doors in order to gain entry into the buildings.
There were cellphones, cell phone accessories and a small amount of cash stolen during these burglaries.
While patrolling the area TPSO received a call that the suspects were in the rear of Academy Sports, 1777 Martin Luther King Blvd. as they were attempting to break in.
Five suspects were transported to the Sheriff’s Office where they were questioned by detectives.
After further investigation detectives arrested one adult,
Bryson Jazzre Lewis, b/m, age 17, 213 Antoine St. Houma, La. along with two (2) 16 year old suspects and two (2) 15 year old suspects for four (4) counts of simple burglary and one (1) count of attempted simple burglary. During this investigation detectives arrested Bryson Jazzre Lewis and two of the same 16 year old suspects for the burglary of Verizon Wireless, 1781 Martin Luther King Blvd. Houma, La. that occurred on Thursday morning, June 7, 2018.
Bryson Lewis remains in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $75,000.00 bond while the juvenile suspects remain in the Terrebonne Parish Juvenile Justice Center.
