Morgan City High Announces New Head Baseball Coach


Earlier today, Morgan City High School introduced their new head baseball coach on there Facebook page. Andrew Madden will be the new head baseball coach.

Coach Madden is from Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood, Mississippi where he where he served as an assistant coach for varsity and head 7th and 9th grade coach. Before that, he was an assistant coach at multiple schools, including Westgate High School, Catholic High of New Iberia, Catholic of Pointe Coupee, North Vermilion, and False River Academy.

Coach Madden is not a stranger to playoff baseball, as every team that he has been associated with has qualified for the playoffs at the end of the regular season. Coach Madden has coached a state tournament qualifier while at Catholic of Pointe Coupee, and has been a part of 4 district championships during his coaching career.

Coach Madden is a graduate of Willow Springs High School in Missouri where he was an all-state pitcher. From there, he went on to Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Missouri, where an injury shortened his playing career. He graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Coach Madden is married to the former Elise Comeaux of New Iberia, Louisiana. They are the proud parents of Miller Madden, born in January 2018.

Coach Madden is very excited to be taking over the program at Morgan City High School and can’t wait to get started!
