According to officials with the Town of Baldwin, a boil water advisory for some residents has been issues.
Problems with the water supply system has occurred overnight and has disrupted services to residents of the Labau Street and Choupique Area, resulting the disruption, officials say water is of questionable quality, so a boil advisory has been issued for those residents.
Disinfecting the water is recommended before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:
The boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
You should boil water for (1) full minute in a clean container (the minute starts after water has started to boil). If water tastes flat, shake the water in a clean bottle, pour it from one clean bottle to another, or add a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.
