Thibodaux Police Nabs Suspect Stuck On Top Of 30’ Wall

Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue announced the arrest of Mark Wright (B/M, 39) for Unauthorized Entry of a Place of Business (Felony), Thibodaux City Court Warrant for Failing to Appear on a Theft Charge, and a Probation & Parole Hold.

On Sunday, June 10, 2018, at approximately 10:44 p.m., the Thibodaux Police Department received a call of a subject stuck on a fence, near the rear of a business located in the 1500 block of Canal Boulevard.

Upon police arriving, Mark Wright was located straddling an approximate thirty foot wall to a warehouse. Officers quickly worked in conjunction with the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department and were able to reach Wright by utilizing a fire truck. Wright was safely brought to the ground without incident.

Upon further investigation, Officer’s learned through video footage that Wright entered the property by forcing his way through a locked/secured gate. Wright then made his way toward the rear of the property, where he was found by police after scaling to the top of the thirty foot wall. It was also learned that Wright had an active City Court Warrant for his arrest, along with a Probation/Parole Hold.

Mark Wright was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center where he is being held on a combined $15,000 bond and held without bond on the Probation & Parole Hold.
