New Iberia Man Indicted On 2nd Degree Murder

According to 16th Judicial District Attorney Bo Duhé, an Iberia Parish grand jury indicted 29 year old Joshua P. Raved with 2nd degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm. According to reports, Raved has had a previous felony conviction for domestic battery.

Raven is accused of shooting 27 year old Ian Jones back in February and Jones died from his injuries at a New Orleans Hospital in March. Investigators believe there was an argument between the two outside the home shortly before shots were fired.

Raved faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, probation or suspension of sentence if convicted on the murder charge.
