Multiple Agencies Make Multiple Drug Arrests, Multiple Suspects Wanted

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff, Jerry J. Larpenter, and Houma City Police Chief, Dana Coleman, said their two departments have worked successfully together again.

Narcotics Agents from these two departments have worked together multiple times in the past, and always seem successful when doing so.

Both Departments were receiving complaints of illegal narcotic activity in the area of Stovall St. For approximately 2-3 months Narcotics Agents from both departments conducted investigations into this information. Although these departments were conducting independent investigations, they were sharing information throughout the investigations. The two departments decided together to take enforcement action in reference to their investigations midday on Wednesday 4-11-18.

While conducting their investigations, Narcotics Agents from the two departments obtained arrest warrants on 19 different suspects. Multiple arrest warrants were obtained for some of these suspects. All of these arrest warrants were in reference to illegal narcotic activity occurring in the Stovall St. area. Below is a list of the suspects.

1. Joshua Johnson (black/male DOB: 11-07-83). 2 counts of Distribution of Crack Cocaine, and 2 counts of Illegal Proceeds Involving Drug Transactions.

2. Corey Gaither (black/male DOB: 04-02-83). 1 count of Distribution of Cocaine, and 1 count of Illegal Proceeds Involving Drug Transactions.

3. Charles Gaither (black/male DOB: 06-09-80). 3 counts of Distribution of Cocaine, and 3 counts of Illegal Proceeds Involving Drug Transactions.

4. Byron Williams (black/male DOB: 02-12-92). 1 count of Distribution of Heroin, and 1 count of Principal to Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine.

5. Byron Matthews (black/male DOB: 05-15-87). 1 count of Principal to Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine.

6. Rashaud Lyons (black/male DOB: 06-02-93). 1 count of Principal to Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine.

7. Kentrell Gaither (black/male DOB: 06-02-93). 1 count of Principal to Distribution of Cocaine.

8. Joram Lawson (black/male DOB: 06-02-93). 1 count of Distribution of Heroin, and 1 count of Illegal Proceeds Involving Drug Transactions.

9. Torrey Matthews (black/male DOB: 06-02-93). 1 count of Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine.

10. Jacoby Welch (black/male DOB: 01-27-90). 1 count of Distribution of Crack Cocaine, and 1 count of Distribution of Ecstasy.

11. Ronald Rainey Jr. (black/male DOB: 01-27-90). 1 count of Distribution of Heroin.
12. Trent Little (black/male DOB: 06-15-91). 1 count of Distribution of Crack Cocaine, and 1 count of Distribution of Marijuana.

13. James Walker (black/male DOB: 08-19-83). 1 count of Distribution of Crack Cocaine, and 1 count of Distribution of Marijuana.

14. Herbert Tillman (black/male DOB: 11-28-80). 1 count of Distribution of Crack Cocaine.

15. Harold Harris (black/male DOB: 06-09-54). 1 count of Distribution of Heroin.

16. Danny Ray Howard (black/male DOB: 08-07-89). 1 count of Distribution of Crack Cocaine.

17. Melvin Scott (black/male DOB: 01-08-70). 1 count of Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine.
18. Seadell Harvey (black/male DOB: 11-07-85). 1 count of Distribution of Crack Cocaine.

19. Kevin Brown (black/male DOB: 11-07-85). 1 count of Distribution of Crack Cocaine.

Midday On Wednesday 4-11-18 Houma City Police Department and Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office planned an arrest warrant round-up in reference to these suspects. The Narcotics Agents had also obtained three search warrants for residences on Stovall St. These search warrants were all executed simultaneously by S.W.A.T. members and Narcotics Agents from both agencies. Members of Louisiana State Police Criminal. Investigations Division and Customs/Border Patrol assisted with the search warrant/round-up operation.

Through the enforcement action taken on Wednesday 4-11-18, nine of the wanted suspects were located and arrested. This also resulted in the recovery of assorted illegal narcotics, multiple firearms (3 of which were reported stolen), counterfeit money, and a stolen vehicle. Additional charges will come from the new evidence that was recovered.
