Thibodaux Police seeking whereabouts of attempted murder suspects

Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue announced the arrest of Delmonte Tyrek Robertson (B/M, 19) for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Delmonte Robertson is one of two suspects that the Thibodaux Police Department has been searching for in connection to a shooting that happened on Wednesday, February 28th. Delmonte Robertson and the other suspect Police are still searching for, Devonte Robertson, shot the victim multiple times after an argument. The victim tried driving himself to the hospital but crashed along the way. He was then brought to the hospital by a friend who was passing by.

The Thibodaux Police Department and the U.S. Marshals converged on the family residence at 1017 Talbot Avenue around 12:30 p.m. today, March 8th. Delmonte was found inside. He is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.

Devonte Robertson (B/M, 23, 5’9”, 170 lbs, has a scar on his left arm) is still at large. Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue is seeking our community partners’ help in locating two attempted murder suspects.

  • Delmonte Tyrek Robertson – B/M, 19, 6’0”, 175 lbs., “DMAC” tattoo on his right arm and “FAMILY FIRST” tattoo on his left arm.
  • Devonte Martell Robertson – B/M, 23, 5’9”, 170 lbs., has a scar on his left arm.

On Wednesday, February 28th, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the victim was with the two suspects in the victim’s vehicle in the 1300 Block of Midland Drive. An argument ensued at which point the victim was hit in the head with a gun and shot multiple times by the suspects. The victim was able to flee the scene in his vehicle.

While trying to drive himself to the hospital, the victim was involved in a crash at Jefferson and Plantation. After the crash, the victim flagged a person down that he knew who brought him to the hospital.

Both Delmonte Robertson and Devonte Robertson have attempted murder warrants for their arrest with a bond of $500,000 each.
