BILLY GRAHAM LYING IN HONOR AT U.S. CAPITOL

President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence were among the lawmakers, family and friends paying respects to the late Reverend Billy Graham yesterday (February 28th) as he lay in honor for the first of two days in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, after his death last week at age 99. Trump gently touched Graham’s simple wooden coffin and spoke about his father taking him to see Graham at Yankee Stadium when he was young, recalling it as “something very special.” The famed evangelist who met every president since Dwight Eisenhower and was known as “America’s pastor,” is the first civilian to lie in honor at the Capitol since civil rights icon Rosa Parks in 2005.
