Arrests Made in Jeanerette Parade Homicide

Investigators with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office have made one arrest in connection to the Sunday homicide which occurred in Jeanerette while a Mardi Gras parade was in progress.  Investigators have had several anonymous leads and several witnesses who have come forward which has led to the identification of three subjects involved in the shooting of 22-year-old Dante Archangel.  The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office located Thaddeus Gabriel, 22-year-old, black male, of Baldwin and arrested him on the Iberia Parish warrant for principal to 2nd Degree Murder and principal to Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.  Thaddeus Gabriel was booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail and will be returned to Iberia Parish later.  Investigators are attempting to located 24-year-old Dandre Gabriel, of Jeanerette, for 2ndDegree Murder and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and 20-year-old Kentrell Gabriel, of Jeanerette, for Principle to 2nd Degree Murder and Principal to Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.  Investigators believe the incident started as a physical confrontation between the victim and the suspects.  The Investigation is continuing to determine if there were any other parties involved.  Dandre Gabriel and Kentrell Gabriel should be considered armed and dangerous.
