LAFAYETTE METRO NARCOTICS TASK FORCE ARREST ONE AND SEIZE SIZABLE QUANTITIES OF NARCOTICS AND FIREARMS

The Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force and Street Team, a multi-agency unit (Lafayette City Police and Lafayette Sheriff’s Office), seized approximately $813,922.00 in illegal narcotics along with 13 firearms, one ballistic body armor, approximately $11,552.00 in U.S. currency, an electronic money counter and several other items used in the illegal distribution of narcotics. Richard Skinner was arrested on February 1, 2018 after a long term investigation was conducted by the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force.

A Search Warrant was issued for his residence and the following charges were placed on Skinner:
