Joshua Paul Clement passed away at the age of 41 on Thursday, January 25, 2018, in Loreauville. Joshua was born in New Iberia, was a former longtime resident of Lydia, and has resided in Loreauville for the past year. A gifted musician, Joshua’s passion was playing guitar. He played in several local rock bands including Nefarious, Sabbatic Feast, and Omega Faction. He worked in the fabrication industry as a fitter/welder, was scientifically and mathematically inclined, and had a wonderful sense of humor. But by far, that which he loved most in this world was his family, whom he dearly loved, especially his children, mother, step-father, and companion.
He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his five children, Savanna Clement, Ethan Dauphine, Scarlett Clement, Sylvain Clement, and Gideon Clement; his granddaughter, Amorah Bourque; his mother, Carrie Clement; his step-father, Danna Boutte; his grandfather, Moise J. Clement Jr.; three uncles, Tracy, Cord, and Toby Clement; two aunts, Tamie Smart and Debra Frederick; his companion, Jennifer Crochet; and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Genevieve Mello Clement.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin beginning at 4:00 p.m. followed by a Time of Remembrance Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to help alleviate funeral expenses.
