TRAFFIC STOP BY ASSUMPTION PARISH SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES NETS 3 ARRESTS FOR DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports charges against three people following a traffic stop in Pierre Part early Monday morning.
A uniform patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and proceeded to stop the vehicle. The deputy identified the driver as Seth Arnett, 37, of 5048 Highway 308, Napoleonville, LA.
There were two other passengers and they were identified as Latisha Landry, 38, of 107 Cross La Rue Street, Pierre Part, LA and Dustin Hebert, 25, of 128 Paul Street, Pierre Part, LA.
The deputy proceeded to interview the three individuals and based on those conversations, the deputy obtained consent to search the vehicle and proceeded to do so. Based on that search, the deputy seized a legend drug.

While searching Latisha Landry, a quantity of marijuana was seized from her person.
While conducting a warrant examination, the deputy confirmed a current Failure to Appear warrant on Dustin Hebert.
Based on the deputy’s investigation, the following charges were filed:
Seth Arnett –
*Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription
*No Driver’s License
*Improper Display of License Plate

Dustin Hebert – was charged on a bench warrant for Failure to Appear in court on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances

Latisha Landry – was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana
Both Landry and Hebert were out on bond for drug related charges at the time of this incident.
Both Arnett and Hebert were incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
