Thibodaux Announces Parade Route’s and Times

Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue is pleased to share with our community partners this year’s Mardi Gras parade routes and start times.

  • Shaka will start at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 4th, 2018.
  • Ambrosia will start at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4th, 2018.
  • Cleophas will start at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 11th, 2018
  • Chronos will start at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11th, 2018
  • Ghana will start at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018

An important note differing from last year is that each parade, once traveled down Jackson Street, will turn at the first intersection at Jackson Street and Canal Blvd. before turning on to Gerald T. Peltier.

Pedestrians will be allowed to gather on the median of Canal Blvd., but no vehicles will be allowed to park there. Also, no vendors will be allowed on City streets and City right-of-ways.

If alcohol is in the plans, please be sure to designate a sober driver to bring you home before the party starts. Also, Thibodaux Police Officers will be issuing citations for underage drinking again this year.

From all of us here at the Thibodaux Police Department, we wish you a happy and safe Mardi Gras season.
