Thibodaux Police Asking for Assistance to Locate a Suspect Wanted in A Shooting Friday Night

Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue is seeking our community partners’ help in locating a shooting suspect – Gary Williams.

Gary Williams is a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is around 5’10”, 185 lbs., with multiple tattoos. He is considered armed and dangerous. The image provided is from a 2013 arrest, so his appearance may be slightly different.

On Friday, January 5th, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Gary Williams shot the victim in the upper leg after a physical altercation. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Gary Williams is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org. Tips can also be submitted using the P3 Tips app on your mobile device. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
