Morgan City Police Arrest A Houma Man for 3rd Offense DWI

According to Morgan City Police Chief James Blair, a Houma Man has been charged with DWI 3rd offense early Monday morning.
Morgan City patrol officers observed a vehicle early Monday morning speeding 55 mph in a 35 mph zone in the area of Hwy 182 in Morgan City. A stop was initiated and 40 year old Cliffton D. Adkins was identified as the operator.
According to reports, Adkins was found to be in an intoxicated state. Adkins performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Adkins was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test which he refused. Records check indicated that Adkins had two prior arrests for Driving While Intoxicated Offenses. Adkins was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
