Franklin man arrested after burglary investigation

The Franklin Police Department said it has been investigating several burglaries that have happened over the past week. After the investigation, officers of the Franklin Police Department were able to develop a suspect.

Reginald Martin, 42, of Bigler Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October, 21, 2017, at 6:15 PM, for the charges of simple burglary – 2 counts, criminal trespassing – 4 counts, littering – 2 counts, and attempted burglary – 1 count. Martin was additionally arrested on a warrant for St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department for simple burglary.

The Franklin Police Department also learned that Martin was on parole with his criminal history dating back to 1996 for several similar felony convictions.

The Franklin Police Department was assisted by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department in the arrest, that was located at a residence on Bigler Street in Franklin. At this time Martin is being held with no bond.
