2017 State Fall Classic will be a HOMERUN

Carencro, LA –This weekend, nearly 800 Special Olympics Louisiana athletes, hundreds of volunteers, law enforcement, family members, and staff invite you to come out to the 2017 State Fall Classic to cheer on the athletes while enjoying all of the festivities.

Who:   Honorary Coach and University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Head Softball Coach, Michael Lotief, Honorary Chair and License Partner and Vice President of Engel & Volkers Lafayette- Lake Charles, Jeremy C. Broussard, multiple law enforcement agencies, and Special Olympics athletes and staff will all be in attendance.

What: State Aquatics, Horseshoes, and Softball competitions

When: Beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20th, 2017 and continuing until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017

Where: Aquatics will be held at the Robicheaux Center (1919 Eraste Landry Road, Lafayette, LA 70506)
Horseshoes and Softball will be held at Pelican Park (110 Softball Drive, Carencro, LA 70520)
Opening Ceremonies will be held at Pelican Park (110 Softball Drive, Carencro, LA 70520)

Extra: Healthy Athletes program will take place on Saturday.

 

Highlights include Opening Ceremonies, lighting of the torch, Healthy Athletes with SOLA health examinations, the fun and entertaining Olympic Town, Closing Ceremonies and a dance. The event is free and open to the public. For more information please visit www.laso.org.
