Man Struck Three Times in Patterson Shooting

A Patterson man was shot multiple times on Thursday night.  Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle said the victim, Dearius Kenner, was struck three times and was transported to Our Lady of The Lake in Baton Rouge by Acadian Air Med Lift.  Police said the shooting took place on Hickory and Taft Streets; Kenner was found collapsed on Martin Luther King Blvd.  Police said the investigation is ongoing.  Patterson has seen an increase in shootings recently and is asking for assistance from the public.  Chief LaSalle said, “this a continual of reports of shootings on a weekly basis and still no assistance from the public or the victims”.  Patterson Police are offering a reward for the arrest and conviction of whomever may have committed the crime.  There are two possible suspects that police are investigating.  There is currently no information on the condition of the Kenner.
