Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association seeking new members

The Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association is seeking new members for the 2017 summer/fall league. The association will hold a meeting at “the pits”, located at Kemper Williams Park in Patterson, Thursday, August 17th, 2017 at 6:30 P. M. to organize teams. The League will start Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017 at 6:30 P.M. – weather permitting. The BHPA said all leagues are handicap and count all and no experience is needed. Men, women, elders and juniors are all welcome. The BHPA said it would love to start a junior league. If not enough juniors, they would be welcome to play on Tuesday nights with the adults. Adult membership is $22.00 a year for Louisiana and National fees Junior fees are $7.00. Local BHPA club membership is $40.00 per person. Entitles to league play, club singles and doubles championship tournaments and a year end banquet in Jan. 2018. Also everyone has the opportunity to win shirts, patches, plaques and jackets. Men under 70 pitch from 40 ft. Women, elders ( 70 plus ) and juniors 12 and over pitch from 30 ft. Cadets under 12 pitch from 20 ft. “Horseshoe pitching is a family, healthy and lifelong sport”.
