City of Patterson Receives Honorable Mention in Community Achievement Competition

The City of Patterson has been cited for an Honorable Mention in the 2016-17 Community Achievement Award’s Competition sponsored by Louisiana Municipal Association, Louisiana Department of Economic Development, Louisiana Industrial Development Executive Association, Capital Regional Planning Commission, Louisiana State Office of Fire Marshal and Louisiana Main Street for outstanding community improvement in community development within population group 3,001 to 10,000. Patterson submitted its latest project, the Jon Felterman Sr. Memorial Wharf, for judging.

Approximately 300 entries were received and reviewed for judging in which an overall total of 27 municipalities were honored. There were three categories comprised of Basic Services, Community Development and Economic Development with three population groups for each (1 – 3000, 3001 – 10,000 and 10,001 & up).

Patterson was recognized before a crowd of 1,200 attendees at the 80th LMA Annual Convention held in Shreveport.
