PIERRE PART, La. – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon and his staff were at Cribs to Crayons Daycare in Pierre Part on Wednesday, for the purpose of fingerprinting and preparing identification packets on every child.Cribs to Crayons is a full-time daycare which caters to children from infancy to school age. The center also provides before and aftercare for school age children and also summer and holiday care.  The center is locally owned by Melissa Tramonte.

The purpose is to have all information necessary in the event misfortune befalls a child.  The kits provide necessary information allowing law-enforcement to respond quickly in an emergency situation.

The event is not a one-time effort.  Sheriff Falcon hopes to update identification and fingerprint kits periodically.
