St. Mary Arrest Report 5-17-2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Nathan Williams, Jr., 35, 415 Como Street Patterson, LA was arrested on May 16, 2017 at 11:42 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving while intoxicated, 2nd offense. A deputy made contact with Williams at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Williams was released on a $3,500 bond.

Dexter Aucoin, 24, 505 Joey Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 16, 2017 at 4:32 pm for the following offenses:

  • Simple battery
  • Simple assault
  • Criminal damage to property
  • Disturbing the peace (offensive language)

A deputy responded to a complaint of an assault at a residence in Patterson. Through investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Aucoin and a male victim were involved in an argument when Aucoin grabbed the victim. The deputy also found evidence that Aucoin removed the victim’s mailbox. While at the scene, the deputy witnessed Aucoin cursing loudly and making verbal threats against the victim’s life in the presence of children playing in the neighborhood. Aucoin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $4,250.

James Gibson Jr., 33, 819 South Road Street, New Orleans, LA was arrested on May 16, 2017 at 8:01 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription, possession of tramadol, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, flight from an officer, and other offenses. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for Gibson’s arrest. Bail is set at $25,500.

Merlin Venable, 53, 1064 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on May 16, 2017 at 9:25 pm for no vehicle insurance. A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle with no headlights on stopping in a lane of travel on Lake Palourde Road. The deputy observed the driver get out of the truck and open the hood of the vehicle. The deputy responded to render assistance and spoke with the driver, identified as Venable. Venable was unable to provide proof of insurance on the truck. He was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2017.

 

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests:

 

Samantha Landreneau, 24, 183 Aucoin Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on May 16, 2017 at 4:51 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Obstruction of justice
  • 5 warrants for failure to appear for a drug court status conference
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, failure to use seatbelts, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license on person, and failure to honor written promise to appear

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Eleventh Street in Morgan City. While speaking with the occupants, detectives observed a passenger, Landreneau, attempting to conceal items in her pants. Detectives received consent to search her purse and located a digital scale with methamphetamine residue on it. Detectives also located multiple active warrants for her arrest. During a search of her person, a detective located bags of methamphetamine. Landreneau was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

Javontre Levine, 24, 140 Mill Road, Lot 48, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 16, 2017 at 6:07 pm for possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine) and on a warrant for criminal trespass, resisting an officer, and reckless operation of a vehicle. Narcotics detectives patrolling Patterson conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Martin Luther King Boulevard. Detectives observed Levine sitting in a rear passenger seat. Levine was wanted on an active warrant for fleeing from narcotics detectives in Patterson during a vehicle stop on Victoria Riverside Road in December. Levine was taken into custody on the warrant. Detectives also located a bag of crack cocaine where Levine was seated in the vehicle. Levine was transported to the St, Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
