The Franklin Police Department responded to 12 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
Shamar Kelker, 28, of Cayce St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 16, 2017, at 10:41 AM, for the charge of resisting an officer. Officers responded a disturbance in the area of Myra St. One subject, later identified as Kelker, had left the area in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle. Kelker allegedly refused to stop the vehicle until reaching his residence on Cayce St. Kelker was booked, processed, and held on a $2,500.00 bond.
Tammy Boudreaux, 41, of Bigler St., Franklin, LA, turned herself in at the Franklin Police Department and was arrested on May 16, 2017, at 1:18 PM, on a warrant for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. On May 15, 2017, officers allegedly observed Boudreaux’s juvenile son violating the daytime curfew ordinance. Boudreaux allegedly had knowledge that her son was out during this time. Boudreaux was booked, processed, and released on a $1,000.00 bond.
Mario Williams Jr., 17, of Myra St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 16, 2017, at 4:12 PM, for the charge of no driver’s license and vehicle license plate required. Williams was booked, processed, and released on a $500.00 bond.
Donald McDaniel Jr., 17, of Percy St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 16, 2017, at 11:30 PM, for the charges on illegal use of a weapon and aggravated criminal damage to property. On May 15, 2017, at approximately 5:30 AM, officers responded to the area of Milling St. in reference to gun shots. Upon arrival, officers observed damage to vehicle at a residence on Milling St. Throughout the investigation, McDaniel was developed a suspect. McDaniel was allegedly a passenger in a vehicle and fired shots out of the vehicle while driving down Milling St. McDaniel was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release. Lionel White, Jr., 24, of Cypremort Rd., Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on May 17, 2017, at 12:46 AM, for the charge of possession of schedule I narcotics (marijuana)- 1st offense. While in the area of B St. on a separate investigation, officers could allegedly smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from a neighboring residence on B St. Upon investigating, officers allegedly located the narcotics in the residence. White allegedly claimed the narcotics were his. White was booked, processed, and released on a $500.00 bond.
