The Franklin Police Department responded to 34 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Neile Lorenzo, 42, of Cayce St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 24, 2017, at 4:00 PM, for the charge theft by shoplifting. Officers responded to a local store on a complaint of a shoplifter. Lorenzo allegedly concealed items, clothes and hygiene products, valued at $37.08 in a bag she was carrying. Lorenzo was booked, processed, and released on a $1,500.00 bond.
Joey Jack, 42, of O’Neal Chube, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 25, 2017, at 3:37 PM, for the charge of aggravated battery with a weapon. Officers responded to a fight in the area of O’Neal Chube. Jack allegedly struck the victim in the head with a broom stick. The victim was transferred to Franklin Foundation Hospital by Acadian Ambulance. Jack was booked, processed, and released on a $3,000.00 bond.
Marquita Shearron, 33, of Eighth St., Franklin, LA, while incarcerated the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, was arrested on March 27, 2017, at 7:31 AM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Shearron was booked, processed, and held on a $305.50 cash bond.
