Franklin Arrest Report for July 8, 2019

The Franklin Police Department responded to 40 complaints over the past holiday weekend and made the following arrests:

Erick Haisley, 27, of Plantation Teche Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 9:11 AM, on warrants for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of illegal possession of stolen things, driving under suspension, and traffic control signals. Haisley was additionally arrested on a warrant for 35th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding and no driver’s license. Haisley was booked, processed, and released on an $800.00 bond.

 

Brian James, 40, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 11:00 AM, on warrants dated June 20, 2019, for simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. James was booked, processed, and released on a $3,500.00 bond.

 

Christopher Jones, 34, of Ninth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 6:20 PM, on warrants dated April 30, 2019, for carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated second degree battery, and simple battery. Jones was additionally arrested on the charge of possession of schedule I narcotics (synthetic marijuana). Jones was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Barry Johnson, 63, of Isabella St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 3, 2019, at 9:40 PM, on the charge of illegal use of weapons. Johnson was booked, processed, and released on a $3,500.00 bond.

 

Gerald Sophus, 29, of Samuel St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 6, 2019, at 11:25 PM, on a warrant dated January 18, 2019, for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, and a warrant dated July 6, 2019, for simple battery. Sophus was additionally arrested on the charge of possession of schedule II narcotics (cocaine). Sophus was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

 

Aeril Darby, 23, of Seventh St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 7, 2019, at 1:30 PM, on the charge of shoplifting. Darby was booked, processed, and released on a $1,500.00 bond.
