Funeral services for Donald Paul Robichaux Sr., a resident of the Franklin area for the past four years, will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville. Pastor Jessie Higgins will conduct the services.
Donald was born in Houma, LA on July 16, 1957 and passed away at the age of 62 in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 1, 2019. He was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and never passed up the opportunity to be in the boat. He also loved football and was a die-hard Saints fan. He will truly be missed.
Survivors include his wife, Heidi A. Robichaux; seven children, Jimmy Robichaux (Karlee), Stephanie Robichaux, Jessica Robichaux (Allen Mathena), Donyelle Crawford (Caleb), Donald Robichaux Jr., Daisy Landry (Troy), and Donna Lodrigue; his brothers, Barry Robichaux, Jimmy Robichaux, and Ranauld Carrere; his sister, Thelma Brettilo; 15 grandchildren; and two very close friends, Timothy and Brenda Crawford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Westner Robichaux and Antoinette Lirette Robichaux; three sisters, and one brother.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Robichaux, Donald Robichaux Jr., Caleb Crawford, Corey Crawford, Richard Meaux, and Leeroy Meaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Timothy Crawford.
