Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reports the following arrests:
On 6-21-19, an officer, while patrolling the parking lot of a Tribal business, smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from a vehicle that passed him. During the investigation, the following were arrested:
Bryce Broussard, 23, Aggie Lane, New Iberia, was arrested for possession of schedule I (marijuana third offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office fugitive warrant for failure to appear for misdemeanor arraignment for operating a vehicle while suspended/revoked and no seat belt, and a Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office fugitive warrant for failure to appear for pre-trial for possession of marijuana. He was transported to the parish jail.
Miles Atkin, 25, Liberty Court, Dothan, Alabama, was arrested for possession of schedule II (Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine), possession of schedule I (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and a Houston County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama fugitive warrant for probation violation for possession of marijuana and assault. He was transported to the parish jail.
On 6-22-19, Charles Sibley, 28, Avenue H, Baton Rouge, was arrested for theft and released on a summons. Officers responded to a Tribal business in reference to a theft. During the investigation, it was learned that Sibley committed the theft and was arrested.
