Broadmoor Residential Burglary Suspects Arrested

On Thursday night, Jan. 31. 2019, Terrebonne Parish detectives arrested three suspects in connection with the 12/31/18 Broadmoor residential burglary.

​TPSO received an anonymous tip that Gage Lowery and Christopher Verdin Jr. were at 100 Evest St. Dulac, La. Detectives immediately went to this address and made contact with Christopher Verdin Jr. and Frankie Duplantis. Verdin was in possession of a bag of marijuana. Upon initial contact detectives detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the residence. ​During questioning both Verdin and Duplantis stated that Gage Lowery was not at the residence. TPSO detectives with the assistance of the TPSO Narcotics Task Force obtained a search warrant for this residence. The search warrant was executed and Gage Lowery was located in the attic of the residence. As a result of the search warrant marijuana was recovered.
​At the conclusion of the search warrant all three suspects were arrest and their charges are as follows:

​Christopher Verdin Jr., age 20, 100 Evest St. Dualc, La. Bond $100,000.00

Charges:
• Illegal possession of a stolen firearm
• Obstruction of justice
• Illegal possession of stolen things
• Possession of Marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

​Frankie Duplantis, age 20, 100 Evest St. Dulac, La. Bond $50,000.00

Charges:
• Illegal possession of a stolen firearm
• Obstruction of justice
• Illegal possession of stolen things
• Possession of Marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

​Gage Paul Lowery, age 19, 100 Evest St. Dualc, La. $151,000.00

​Charges:
• Possession of Marijuana
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling
• Aggravated cruelty to animals

 

January 31, 2019 (Update)

Terrebonne Parish detectives have continued the investigation regarding the residential burglary that occurred on 12/31/18. After further investigation detectives obtained arrest warrants on an additional suspect. Christopher Verdin Jr., age 20, 5020 Bayouside Dr. Chauvin, La. is WANTED for Illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

January 18, 2019

​Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on Monday, 12/31/18, TPSO began investigating a residential burglary in the Broadmoor Subdivision whereas the suspects forced entry a residence while the homeowners were away on vacation. The suspects stole a variety of items from the residence including firearms, electronics and cash. The suspects also severely beat the homeowner’s pet dog which the dog was later died as a result from these injuries.

Through surveillance footage and witnesses, detectives were able to identify 3 suspects as, Joshua Verdin 19-years-old of Dulac, Jacoby Trosclair 18-years-old Houma, and Gage Lowery 19-Years-old of Houma.

Joshua Verdin was located on 1/10/19 and taken to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office for questioning. After questioning, Joshua was arrested and booked at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex for Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling.

Detectives later received information of some of the stolen items being stored at Gage Lowery’s parents’ residence in Grand Caillou. A search warrant was executed on this property and multiple firearms stolen during the burglary were recovered.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Gage Lowery and Jacoby Trosclair for:
1ct. Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
1ct. Aggravated Cruelty to Animals
