Detectives from Assumption Parish are working with other parishes to thoroughly investigate and the jurisdiction where the post originated will take appropriate action.

We have determined that there is no imminent or credible threat to any of our educational institutions in Assumption Parish.

School Superintendent Jeremy Couvillion released the following statement:
“We were made aware of the social media post in question and are working closely with law-enforcement to bring the matter to conclusion. We take the safety of all of our students and staff very serious and will take any and all necessary precautions to accomplish that mission.”

There will be additional law-enforcement presence at Assumption High on Friday and classes will continue as scheduled.
